This lapidary-grade hard dop wax has a melt temperature of 160°F (71°C) and has been the industry standard for many years.
Dop wax is a very popular wax for securing cabochons during lapidary work. This specially formulated low temperature wax is ideally suited for heat-sensitive gemstone materials such as opal and turquoise.
Used to attach stones to dop sticks while polishing. Melt under an alcohol lamp, or in a dop pot for best results and freeze to adhere. For best adherence wipe down the stone(s) with an alcohol wipe or cloth before melting the wax onto them. Also set any stone on the side of your dop pot to  keep them warm while waiting to be dopped.
Each stick is .5" x 3.75"
Some sticks may come broken in mail, does not affect use!

Of note: The melting point is 160°F  at a simmering temperature, however if it gets too high at boiling stage the wax is ruined, ie roughly 170°F .
